A close up of one of my critters. This is a cobalt and lime set with the teeniest little froggie perched on top of a lampwork focal bead. All torched with love in my studio.

It's adorable, it's cute and it's tiny!! The technique used for creating Lampwork Cobalt Froggie Set is not easy at all, but *tiannei pulled it off perfectly! ( Suggested by O-Uaglione and Featured by Myana )

ADORABLE. I have worked with glass before (made beads), and it wasn't that easy to work with, so I am way impressed.

Ooh! It's adorable! And I love the bead the frog is sitting on--beautiful.

I should ask my lampwork teacher to give me a lesson on critters. =P

Your frog is just adorable. I love frogs. And that pattern on the focal bead is pretty nifty.

My mum makes lampwork beads so I can appreciate the time and work put into this. I'm trying to get her to make me some animal beads but she hasn't.

Glass beadwork- practiced by many an unrecognized artist, including the mother who practices it in her basement studio, while sending her son off to be the most popular kid at the blue ribbon school the family relocated to be near, or perhaps the bus driver no one ever thinks to ask how HER day has been. :)

who teaches what? I don't understand what you mean...

I guess some are self taught, some have a college education, some take evening course, some might read a tutorial... just like any other talent in art/photography/writing/whatever, the variety is endless

The Artisan Crafts gallery is people displaying their crafted 3D items, just as the Digital Gallery is for people displaying their digital work and so on - and it doesn't matter who taught them.

Browse the Artisan Crafts Gallery and you'll see what I mean ;)
